Zhong Yin Trade Remedy Practice Group represents the client in South Africa’s anti-dumping investigation against China’s tires and wins a comparably low tariff rate

On July 28, 2023, the International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa announced the final judgment on the anti-dumping investigation against China’s tires. Mr. Jia Zheng, the senior partner and director in the International Trade and Maritime practice group of Zhong Yin Law Firm represented Shandong Haibeide Rubber Co., Ltd. to respond to the investigation, and assisted the client to win a tariff rate as low as 8.12% in the final decision. Meanwhile most of other Chinese exporting entities apply tariff rates between 9.79% and 41.47%. This is the first time in the past five years for Chinese exporting entities to obtain such a good result of low tariff rate in South Africa’s anti-dumping investigation against China. On January 31, 2022, the International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa made an announcement to initiate an anti-dumping investigation against aluminum extrusions originating in China.
