Zhong Yin Trade Remedy Practice Group represents the client in India's anti-dumping investigation against China’s tempered glass and wins zero tariff rate

On August 30, 2023, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (India) announced the final judgment on the anti-dumping investigation against China’s tempered glass. Mr. Jia Zheng, the senior partner and director in the International Trade and Maritime practice group of Zhong Yin Law Firm, represented Jiangsu Xiuqiang Glasswork Co., Ltd., Zhongshan Meiyi Electrical Appliance Co., Ltd. and Jiangyin Suifeng Glass Co., Ltd. to respond to the investigation, and assisted these three companies in winning zero tariff rate in the final decision, achieving a complete victory. This is one of the best results obtained in the past five years for Chinese exporting entities in India’s anti-dumping investigation against China. In this case, the tax rates applied for most of other Chinese exporting entities range from $41.8/ton to $243/ton. On September 30, 2022, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (India) made an announcement to initiate an anti-dumping investigation against tempered glass originating in China.

During the anti-dumping practice for the past 20 years, Zhong Yin Trade Remedy practice group has represented more than 300 Chinese enterprises to respond to almost 200 anti-dumping and countervailing cases, concerning the worldwide major markets in America, Europe Union, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Eurasian Economic Union, India, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, South Africa, Egypt, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Columbia, Chile, Uruguay, etc. Zhong Yin Trade Remedy practice group represented more than 60 domestic enterprises to respond in 45 anti-dumping and countervailing cases initiated by India against China concerning sulfur black, ceftriaxone sodium, energy-saving lamps, ceramic tiles, radial tire, penicillin, carbon black, barium carbonate, SDH system, paracetamol, graphite electrode, FDY, gliclazide, albendazole, dichloromethane, PTA, aluminium foil, amoxicillin trihydrate, hot-rolled steels, refined naphthalene, steel wire rods, ofloxacin carboxylic acid, ofloxacin, high-tenacity polyester wires, zeolite powder, dimethylformamide, atrazine, PET, refrigerant, fluoro backsheet, solar cells, resin grinding wheels, atorvastatin, glycine, ursodeoxycholic acid, industrial laser machines, tempered glass, printed-circuit boards, sodium cyanide and so forth and obtained good results of “no tariff”, “the lowest tariff rate” or “zero tariff” in the country for several times.
